My Approach to Helping
Living with bipolar disorder is challenging, whether you have bipolar or are a loved one of someone with bipolar. I strongly believe there are gifts to be celebrated along with the challenges to be worked through when it comes to bipolar. Successfully living with bipolar calls for having a plan to monitor and manage mood states, make the best decisions for yourself regarding self-care and medication, and building a strong support network. I specialize in working with clients living with bipolar disorder and my goal is to provide a compassionate and open environment to explore your needs and goals. You have the ability to thrive. We can explore how together.
More Info About My Practice
I offer a complimentary 30-minute in person consultation to determine if we are a good fit for therapy. I think in person works better than on the phone because you can get a sense of who I am and how I work so you can make the best choice for you. If for any reason we aren't the best fit for working together, I am happy to provide referrals. I look forward to talking with you.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
When people first come to therapy they are often in a place of pain, confusion, discouragement, trauma, and sometimes hopelessness. I get to walk with them while they move into a place of rediscovering hope, a capacity for joy, a sense of purpose, and their true worth as human beings. It's the best work in the world.
