My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 12 years of experience researching and practicing evidence-based treatment. There are a number of highly effective therapies out there, and my focus is on those that help people with: Traumatic Stress (PTSD); Anxiety Disorders (social anxiety, panic, phobias); Disordered Eating (emotional eating, binge eating, bulimia); Health Behavior Change (weight loss, smoking cessation); and Behavioral Medicine (coping with chronic illness).
My approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral (CBT), but I also draw from interpersonal, mindfulness and acceptance-based, and existential approaches to psychotherapy.
