My Approach to Helping

I am a recovered professional who believes in the capacity of the therapeutic process for healing and lasting change. The journey toward personal growth and evolution is hard; I am here as a guide and a resource for you on that journey. I will be direct and honest with you about my observations and do my best to lay out a clear path for you to achieve your goals. It is my priority to provide clients with tools and strategies to implement between sessions that make a measurable impact on their day to day life.

More Info About My Practice

My clients are in search of a space to be encouraged and supported that feels authentic. Many of my clients have struggled to find a therapeutic space in which they feel accepted and at ease. I strive to provide a therapy space free of power differentials where my clients are empowered to verbalize their needs. This is your journey; you get to decide where we go and how we get there at whatever pace feels right to you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am experienced in supporting clients transitioning to and from higher levels of care for eating disorder treatment. In addition, I specialize in supporting clients in understanding how to improve their boundaries, communication styles, and coping strategies. I particularly enjoy working with clients who struggle with codependency and relational issues.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I emphasize feminist, LGBTQIA+, sex positive, and culturally affirming care. I believe that we are all impacted by our background, families, cultures, and individual identities. Many of my clients have experienced spiritual abuse or rejection from their communities. I believe in supporting clients to cultivate their own spiritual identity and belief system, regardless of religious affiliation. My role is not to pass judgment or convey advice. I am here to support you with tools, resources, and reflection while you discover the most authentic version of yourself. I empower my clients to seek out whatever adjunct treatment methods make sense for them. From acupuncture to functional medicine to group therapy or anti-depressants, I am in support of what works for YOU.
