My Approach to Helping
Hello and welcome! I work with children 10+, adolescents and adults, with an emphasis on teens, struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, substance use, self-esteem, parent-child relationships, school issues, relationship issues, and those seeking self-improvement. I place an emphasis and importance on connecting with my clients. I believe that although the therapeutic relationship is professional, that does not mean it has to lack authenticity and connection.
I understand the struggles that life can bring along with the challenges teens and families face. With this understanding, I approach the therapeutic process through an empowered lens where hope and healing is always possible. I am passionate about helping you uncover your greatness, so you can become your best self. My approach is authentic and relatable, and my goal is to provide a supportive and safe space where you feel heard.
I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I understand that each person’s journey is unique and so I tailor each session to your needs, desires, and goals. I am honored to be a part of your mental health journey and to provide a safe, comfortable, and hopeful space for you to heal and work towards positive change.
