I like to work with the individual as a unique person with events and life experiences that are only theirs. The work is a collaboration, working with areas that the individual is motivated to change. I believe change in one area can positively affect others struggles the client may have. The client brings a wealth of knowledge about themselves that can be viewed under the impartial lens of the therapist. From this collaboration, change can happen

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

I believe we have disorder labels is in order to work in common language with insurance companies etc. The individual is not a disorder. They are someone experiencing a difficulty that is interfering with important parts of their everyday life who would like some relief.
