My Approach to Helping
Focusing on the solution rather than the problem, acknowledging your strengths rather than your perceived weaknesses, and realizing that progress is progress - no matter how big or how small will help you as you strive to reach your goals. If you believe you cannot do something, that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and you will not put in the time or effort needed into reaching your goals or making changes.
If you believe you can make a change, you at least give yourself a fighting chance. If you try something new or different, it may not work but I can guarantee with 100% accuracy that if you keep doing what you've been doing, you will get the same results. How do you eat an elephant?
