My Approach to Helping
Everyone experiences challenges from time to time. When these challenges occur, you may benefit from the support of a compassionate professional who can help you better understand and resolve these challenging experiences. When you struggle with an acute crisis, sudden loss or change, or with persistent distress or mild depression, it takes a toll on your mind and body.
Over my 23 years of practice, I have developed an extensive experience working with various types of emotional pain. For most clients, embarking on a path of change and healing is a courageous first step. Psychotherapy is a leap of faith that requires you to trust a stranger, build a new relationship, to growth, feel, think, and trust. I am committed to helping you achieve your goals through acceptance and collaboration, in a respectful, safe therapeutic space.
I believe that self-discovery enables you to live life to its fullest. I approach mental health and emotional difficulties with a blend of mind-body integration, mindfulness, attachment theory, and psychoanalysis.
In both individual and couples sessions, we work to understand how your daily life and unusual stressors, your history of trauma and loss affect your well-being. We work to cultivate your inner strength and self-awareness, working to help you make meaningful, lasting, and desirable changes.
A meaningful understanding of yourself will help you lead a more authentic and satisfying life with better relationships. Please feel free to contact me and together we can take the first step in your journey of self-discovery and change.
