You feel lonely in your relationship. You argue about the same things and feel like you can never resolve these conflicts.
Every time you try to talk to your partner about the things that are important to you, you get stuck in the conversation because of the criticism, defensiveness, and other negative patterns that show up in your interactions.
You are tired of arguing and find yourself shutting down and disconnecting from your partner more and more.
You keep trying to communicate to your partner about your needs but struggle to get them to understand you.
You feel like you are the only one making an effort in the relationship and are taken for granted.
You want to understand yourself better – what makes you feel loved and why you act the way that you do in your close relationships.
Perhaps you have been hurt before and are afraid to trust and let yourself get close again or you might not be in a relationship and are wondering why relationships haven’t worked out for you.
Or you are dealing with an affair and the betrayal is incomprehensible and you feel so much pain and confusion.
How long would it take for the pain to get better?
How long before you can trust them again?
You feel heartbroken and confused. You go between blaming them and blaming yourself. How could they do that to you? You wonder where things went wrong in the relationship for the affair to happen.
You are trying to figure out if you even want to work on rebuilding the relationship or if you should leave it because you are not sure if you will ever be able to trust again.Maybe you are not sure if your current relationship is the right one for you. You are not sure if you should stay, take it to the next phase, or leave altogether.

My personal experience of relationship healing and transformation in couples therapy has motivated me to specialize in couples therapy so I can help couples and individuals with their relationships.
When working with you as a couple, I help you learn communication skills by giving you some practical tools that you can start using right away and once you are able to communicate safely with your partner, without blaming, criticizing, etc., then we dive into some of the deeper work.
I help you heal your relationship from past hurt, understand your own needs better as well as your partner’s needs and learn how to safely communicate those needs and in a way that your partner will be eager to meet them.
We work on understanding your attachment history, which is the attachment to your primary caregivers while growing up, and how this history plays out in your adult relationships today.
When it comes to my work with individuals, there isn’t a more important relationship than the one you have with yourself. Learning to love yourself, understand and accept who you are, know your self-worth, and how to set healthy boundaries – all these are necessary precursors to having healthy relationships with others.
