My Approach to Helping
My approach to helping people is collaborative. Our work can be tailored to meet you where you are and with what you need. I believe it is important to listen to each person's unique story and help promote understanding, exploration and growth. I offer a safe space and approach my clients with warmth, caring and compassion. My approach is integrative, meaning that I draw from various theories and techniques. For example if you are struggling with relationship issues we may explore patterns in relationship or practice new ways of relating. If anxiety is your main difficulty, our work may be more active in teaching you relaxation strategies or exploring how you think and relate to the anxiety.
The therapeutic relationship can also be a valuable tool in helping one feel connected and supported.
