My Approach to Helping
Life is an unfolding process that challenges our relationships with our self and with others. We can at times feel lost, de-pressed, experience grief, anxiety, and moodiness, that can leave us feeling an overwhelming sense of disconnection. I believe that psychotherapy follows a process of looking into the patterns we have in relationships that cause our discomfort. Therapy supports reconnecting with self and then with others. Clients say that therapy supports growth in greater self-knowledge and healthier, sustainable relationships. I work from a Depth Psychology model informed by C.G. Jung who supports that therapy is not a quick fix but an opportunity to get to the root of what may be causing our suffering. I work through dialogue, sandplay, dream exploration, and creative imagery- all processes that follow the client's innate healing toward balance in life. I work with individual adults who may be struggling in life and through life transitions, and with couples struggling to re-define their relationships because of pre-marital issues, infidelity, growth, stagnations, boredom, and grief.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Most people come to therapy because they are suffering. My experience teaches me that the suffering is key to the solution. Usually there is a deeper underlying issue(s) that is causing the suffering. I see clients challenged by the pain but gaining relief and greater self knowledge when they are able to process through their pain. A client may precent with a specific issue that is usually the symptom or the thing that has motivated them to come in. The therapy takes how ever long the client needs to resolve the issue. This means that the therapy in not predetermined but paced according to the client's own rhythm.
