My Approach to Helping
Human beings experience difficult times, overwhelm, depression and/or anxiety occasionally. Talking to family members or friends may sometimes be inappropriate or not effective. Seeing a counselor may help. I will provide professional, confidential help, dedicated support, and a non-judgmental attitude. Your resources and strengths are there, but you may not be in a frame of mind to take advantage of them. You and I can work together to address your difficulties allowing you to progress forward.
I specialize in adults' individual therapy, life coaching, grief/loss, emotional pain management, distress tolerance, performance enhancement. I will use a collaborative approach with you. I strive to help you make positive changes and decisions so you can get in tune with yourself and your true values. I am also available for counselor supervision and consultation for the prevention of / treatment of counselor/therapist burnout.
My office is safe, comfortable, and confidential. It is an environment where you can speak freely and work things out. Learning to cope with and overcome your obstacles might be two goals of your therapy. Together, we will work towards your being in a better place at the end of our journey than you were at the start of it.
