My Approach to Helping

I begin my work with your child by creating a safe connection. Children connect best through play, which is their native language. The connection we establish through play is very important, because this connection will be the foundation of all changes we make.

I hope to partner with parents to uncover the child who lies beneath all the problem behaviors. I gently guide children, using tools to help them appropriately express their emotional needs. I help my clients identify their emotions, so they can express them in a more positive ways. I see behavior management as an important developmental skill. I tailor my approach based on the unique emotional and developmental needs of each client, using the child as my guide.

A client once summarized my approach as the sidekick to their superhero. I love how easily children simplify things!
