My Approach to Helping
By the initial look of things, you have it together. You have a job, a roof over your head, friends and family. However, deep down you don't feel fulfilled and the concept of "home" feels distant. You are struggling to merge the daily grind with your passions. You feel out of balance as a result and are experiencing sadness, anxiety and maybe guilt for wanting more. It's becoming difficult to express yourself and align your values. Therapy has not felt like the right fit because you are looking for a holistic approach focusing on mind, body and spirit.
You want to live a life you love and tap into your full potential. You are ready to do some soul searching with unbiased and collaborative support. Imagine feeling realigned with your values and living your dreams. How would that feel; ready to take the next step? I can help.
More Info About My Practice
I offer a free 15 minute consultation, online paperwork, night/weekend hours, and art supplies within session. Learn more by checking out my website- link in the upper left corner. Don't hesitate to reach out- let's talk about what would work for you.
My Therapy Focus
I work with clients in two separate ways- Expressive Arts Therapy sessions and Holistic Life Coaching. Many people ask how these are different. Expressive Arts Therapy is treated as psychotherapy through the lens of using art modalities to build insight and connection. Life coaching is not treated as psychotherapy and is much more solution and future focused. I also offer contact between sessions for some life coaching clients. I can help you figure out which of these two options would be a good fit for you, so feel free to reach out to me.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Absolutely! I purposefully and consciously disclose pieces of my own story to my clients. I always tell people there is a reason, or a few reasons, why therapists become therapists! Dealing with depression and anxiety? I've been there. Dealing with lack of passion and struggling to align your values with your daily life? I've been there.
