Have you ever felt "stuck?" "trapped?" "hopeless?" Like no matter what you do to better your situation you keep ending up in the same place?
We often end up in these places due to life events, in our present as well as in our past. Being stuck can contribute to feelings of sadness, loss of interest in the things that we used to find enjoyable, worries, anger, etc. Whether or not we realize it, we often store these uncomfortable feelings in our physical bodies resulting in physical discomforts like headaches, muscle tension, high blood pressure, difficulty sleeping.

If you are reading this, you are likely feeling stuck and have already taken the first brave step towards changing your life- seeking help. My approach to therapy addresses both the emotional and physical effects of being stuck. I work together with each of my clients to create a unique plan of action to work through the present and past experiences so that individuals can leave therapy feeling empowered and liberated.

More Info About My Practice

In my personal life, I enjoy many outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking, and yoga. I have personally experienced the profound changes that occur when you address distress at both the physical and emotional levels.
I have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training and have worked for years as a rock climbing instructor. In my therapy practice, I commonly incorporate the breath work and visualization techniques used in these physical activities.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

If you are on the fence about going to therapy, you're not alone! In fact, many people will feel unsure if therapy is really for them. This is often due to misconceptions about therapy. Let me clarify a couple I frequently hear:

Therapy is not for the rest of your life-- Though there's nothing wrong with long-term therapy, one of my goals as a therapist is to teach people the skills to confidently deal with the ups and downs of life on their own.

As a therapist I will not tell you what to do-- I honor each individual's right to live the life they want to live. Together we will explore different paths to take but you get to choose which is best for you.

Therapy doesn't "fix" you because you're not broken-- EVERYONE feels stuck from time to time. In fact, those that seek help (including therapy) are among the bravest and strongest people I know. Seeking help doesn't mean there is something wrong with you, it simply means you are tired of being stuck and ready to start the exciting journey of change.

If I haven't covered your specific concern, that's okay because the good news is therapy is a two-way conversation and I'm more than happy to discuss your concerns further.
