My Approach to Helping
I work with couples, individuals, adolescents, and families to restore hope and healing and to create deeper connections in the most precious of relationships. By creating a safe atmosphere of trust and support, I equip my clients with the tools and strategies they need to manage and overcome challenging situations, repair broken connections, rebuild trust, communicate effectively, and restore an overall sense of health and well-being in their lives.
I have my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Trevecca. I am trained in prepare-enrich for premarital and marital counseling, EFT ( Emotionally-Focused Therapy) for couples, EMDR, a research based treatment for trauma, and I work from a systemic perspective. Treatment is catered to the individual needs and goals of the client.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
The most important component to successful counseling is finding a therapist who is a good fit for the client. In revealing and discussing the most private issues, it is important that the client chooses a therapist whom he or she connects with and feels comfortable sharing personal concerns. It is important to feel understand in an empathic and safe environment for optimal healing and restoration to occur.
