My Approach to Helping
Your process is important to me no matter what framework we are working in; individuals, couples, or family therapy. Together we will explore problem areas in your life and relationships and develop solutions. We will draw out your strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and effective ways to communicate thoughts and feelings. I offer high quality psychotherapy services to encourage transformation, healing, and movement through difficult areas of life such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic pain and illness, family conflict, relationship conflict, difficulty performing at work, or life transitions, among others. I use an integrative and holistic approach to emotional healing. I find that true emotional healing occurs when we simultaneously nurture our minds, spirits, and bodies.
I have a great deal of experience treating couples, children, adults, adolescents, and families, employing Family/Marital Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Relational therapy, Somatic/movement therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I utilize dance/movement, yoga, wellness and health counseling, and mindfulness meditation as well.
