My Approach to Helping
Are you beyond frustrated and feeling stuck in ways that you are starting to wonder will ever change? I absolutely love what I do I believe very much in the process of therapy to shift what feels impossible. The way this happens sometimes seems mysterious but it is actually very simple. It’s finding the right fit with a therapist and making a commitment to continue to develop new insights, strategies, and behaviors that will move you toward confidence and self acceptance. I work with both individuals and couples who feel lost in the frustrations of vicious cycles in their relationships and with themselves.
My approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and positive psychology as well as other approaches. My style is both warm and direct. Change begins when trust is built in a non-judgemental, objective environment where we can build realistic and powerful strategies to remove the barriers to having what you want.
I have often seen clients report significant relief within weeks some prefer a short term solution-focused approach and others will remain longer for work on bigger themes in their life that they have longed to change.
