My approach focuses clients on becoming more conscious and awake to themselves - their needs, wants, values, strengths, and areas for growth. I help clients identify and work through what is getting in the way of asserting these valuable, important parts of who they are, to help them live more authentically. When clients feel deeply connected to themselves and others, concerns such as depression, anxiety, and relationship problems are often alleviated.

I am collaborative, compassionate, and accepting. I think therapy is most successful when clients set the agenda for us to address together, and when they feel safe enough to do so. I encourage clients to honor their own ideas, beliefs, and feelings, sharing mine when it seems appropriate and helpful.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Couples and Marriage Counseling:
A unique aspect of my approach is that I encourage each partner to take radical self-responsibility for their contributions to what is not working in the relationship. Together, we develop new ways of connecting, communicating, and managing your lives to rebuild the connection and intimacy that brought you together in the first place.

Group Counseling:
Group counseling is a great way to help you gain a better understanding of how you are showing up in relationships, and allows you to develop the skills needed for you to feel satisfied and connected to others. A group setting gives you the opportunity to receive feedback on the ways you communicate, both verbal and non-verbal.

Individual Counseling:
Together we help you become more conscious of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are holding you back from the life and relationships you are seeking. Authentic communication and mindfulness techniques are part of my approach to addressing how you feel about yourself and how you experience your interpersonal relationships.
