My Approach to Helping
You will find a comfortable, warm atmosphere awaiting you in my psychotherapy practice. I have a passion for helping others to become the best they can be and to balance the challenges and changes of life through whatever methods we mutually find to be most helpful and effective. I find the therapeutic relationship to be the most important aspect of successful therapy and will work hard to develop a trusting, solid rapport with you. You will find me to be open-minded, humorous and easy-going as a psychotherapist.
I work with a children, families and individuals on a variety of issues including adoption issues, anxiety, parenting, depression and trauma. My practice is sex positive and I am attuned to issues of cultural sensitivity in the LGBTQ and alternative lifestyle communities. During my more than 22 years as a practicing psychotherapist, I have worked in community mental health, schools and private practice. I am a graduate of Swarthmore College with a degree in Russian Language and Literature, University of Pennsylvania with a graduate degree in education and Antioch/New England where I earned a Master's degree in counseling psychology.
