My Approach to Helping
From the time you walk into my office, you will find a comfortable, soothing, and calming environment that has been specifically created to allow you to know that you are safe and will be respected as you share your story.
On the first visit, I will ask questions about who you are, the symptoms you are experiencing, and how these symptoms cause problems in your life. I will complete a bio-psycho-social assessment that includes all aspects of your journey thus far to obtain the information necessary to become a partner with the journey of recovery.
I have over twenty years’ experience in providing mental health services and over ten years’ experience working with individuals who have substance use behaviors. I am a cognitive behavioral therapist who utilizes therapeutic approaches that suit the individual for where they are at now and evolving with the person and the recovery process to meet individual goals. I have experience in working with individuals, families, and couples.
