My Approach to Helping

Are you anxious, depressed, having relationship issues? Are you going through a loss or life transition? Are you seeking more meaning and stability in your life? Are you looking for someone who understands these issues, is honest and caring in the context of helping you move forward? Do you desire someone who has done their own emotional work and will honor your struggle while helping you through? Do you want to feel valued, safe and understood? Do you need someone to push you a bit into what you know you can do? Do you want someone who will work with you, listen to you and build trust? Do you want someone who sees your strengths & potential solutions? Is spirituality an important aspect of your life? I bring a holistic approach both practical and spiritual which includes emotions, thoughts, behavior & psyche. I utilize a variety of techniques & work with you to find those that will be best. Jungian therapy and depth psychology deeply inform my practice. I offer the healing relationship described above. I can help you live more deeply and more fully. I know our "problems" can be guides that lead to greater health and a richer life. I have extensive experience working with families, couples, and adolescents. I enjoy work with individuals and have worked for 20 years in the field of addictions.

More Info About My Practice

My standard fee is $130 per hour. I offer a 30 minute free consultation as an initial appointment to get acquainted and determine if we are a good match. Sliding scale is available on a limited basis. Most insurance companies will provide some coverage for my fees due to my license in social work.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Depth therapy has the advantage of touching all parts of our lives so we are more congruent with our own emotions and unique way of being in the world. This can enhance our relationships, parenting, work challenges and life needs. Issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and fear are also aspects of being human that this work guides us through. Discovering ones own strength and individual path enhances are capacity to work with our challenges.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

My work involves working with symptoms to discover and explore their underlying meaning and allows healing and movement toward individuation. Individuation is a way of working with the "deeper self" so we may live life more fully and in harmony with who we are at the core.
