My Approach to Helping
Congratulations on taking the first step toward your well-being. Seeking help can be scary, and many find it easier to adapt to unpleasant circumstances in hopes that things will change by themselves.
We can spend most of our lives sweeping uncomfortable feelings under the rug, until one day the rug just won't lay flat anymore and we begin tripping over it.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, a difficult relationship, or a life-threatening illness, my goal is to offer you a safe, supportive and compassionate environment to explore your innermost feelings, which will enable you to begin living a more resilient and authentic life.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Jungian psychology. What that means is that together we work to open up your mind and heart to the signals from the unconscious -- discoverable through intuition, feelings, and dreams, as well as art, body signals, and synchronistic experiences.
When uncomfortable feelings and perceptions are no longer cut off from awareness and instead are acknowledged and expressed, a release takes place and you begin living a more authentic life.
