I am the FIRST and ONLY Marriage Counselor in Metro-Atlanta to offer a Money-Back Guarantee for Marriage Counseling. Why go to a therapist who does not guarantee his or her work? At every session, we will work together to improve one of the following modules that is included in the description of most lists of what makes a good marriage: each spouse feeling appreciated and acknowledged or good communication with few arguments or the unselfish meeting of one another's needs or the couple having a pervading peace at home and work or having an experience of love in action or having someone to come home to who is happy to see you or a growing intimacy or satisfying sex or absolute trust in the other's fidelity. You will discover how different, exciting and fulfilling your marriage can be when you are making definite, definable progress every week. Call me right now to secure your appointment time for the attainment of the marriage you have always wanted. I am Lane A. Stokes, 800-989-8037

More Info About My Practice

This method I use to enable the Wonderful Marriage is really easy. Oh, I know that marriage is supposed to be hard work but using my method of strengthening each module is more exciting than work. Imagine, at every session experiencing the tension evaporate, arguments becoming healthy discussions, feeling appreciated for who you are, being acknowledged for the many things you do that usually seem to go unnoticed, seeing through eyes of love again the person you married, actually experiencing your hope fulfilled that he or she will never leave you, that the marriage is working and will continue to work the way you've always wanted it to. I haven't learned how to do this kind of Marriage Counseling by reading books or going to seminars. I've learned it over 30+ years of trying one thing and the other, praying to God to show me a better way.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

The reason I believe that Marriage Counseling is a necessity rather than an option has to do with skills the therapist has that clients do not. Take the module of the couple "having good communication with few arguments." The couple usually does not know what is sparking an argument while they are trying to talk through a troublesome issue. And a lot of licensed therapists do not know either. It takes years of studying personalities and interpersonal relationships to identify old beliefs and attitudes that trigger arguments in the present. My 30+ years is definitely an advantage over therapists who have only been learning through doing for 5, 10, 15, 20, or even 25 years. My training gives me advantages too. I spent 5 years as a pastor learning the religious and spiritual triggers that counselors without pastoral experience do not have. I spent nearly two years being supervised by the best psychiatrists and clinical psychologists in learning triggers caused by mental illnesses and mental illness traits. Most people have traits of mental illness. So that was a great advantage over most therapists who never had such training. I had two years of Clinical Pastoral Education that most therapists never had and CPE taught me about triggers that spark arguments, especially because I was dealing with geriatric patients who had "ancient" triggers younger people do not possess. What is number #1 reason for divorces? Arguments between couples that cannot be reconciled. Do I have a better informed catalog of what triggers spark these unending arguments? Yes. This is just one reason my method for enabling the
Wonderful Marriage works so smoothly and makes the marriage attainable. And this is only one module of ten.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

We are taught from birth to take care of ourselves and become self-sufficient. However, complications growing up, relationship difficulties and mental traits can prevent us from taking the best care of ourselves without professional help. We go dentists and doctors and should go to licensed counselors in caring for us. Think of a counselor as part of your own mind who knows which questions to ask and better solutions for what you want to accomplish because in reality it is you who solves the issue once you have all the information and learned skills you need.
