My Approach to Helping

It would be my honor to counsel you. My diverse background in process engineering and pastoral ministry brings an interpersonal but goal-oriented perspective to our sessions, grounded in a message of redemption. I prefer an integrative approach that matches your needs with my competencies.

During counseling, we will strive to move you toward self-sufficiency, healing and transformation. I intend to help you bring awareness to your struggles and develop strategies to overcome them using your strengths, talents and current resources. If counseling is successful, which is largely dependent on your efforts inside and outside sessions, you will feel ready to tackle today’s problems and tomorrow’s concerns.

Each counseling session will be 50 minutes long, unless otherwise decided between us, and it will take place at the Center for Family Transformation (CFT). We will mutually schedule and agree upon each session’s date and starting time. Fees can be found in my profile; I seek to make our time together both worth your investment, but also feasible for your budget.

As a Christian counselor, I operate under the teaching of Jesus Christ. However, I see clients of all races, ethnicities, worldviews, and backgrounds. I commit to you that your dignity, health, and safety are my priorities. Below, you can see a quick snapshot of what counseling will be like with me. Reach out today and we will seek your wellness together.

More Info About My Practice

The Center for Family Transformation exists in the Cornelius area of Charlotte, NC, and specializes in therapeutic intervention, prevention and treatment for adolescents, young adults and their families. The goal is to restore healthy identity in each individual and to renew connection and belonging to the family. Our hope is that this will prevent mental health struggles, traumatic experiences and addiction issues from stealing the future of the clients and families we serve.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Carl Jung once called therapists "wounded healers." I appreciate this phrase. Many counselors, including myself, are passionate about helping their clients because they have personally walked through a powerful journey of recovery. I remember what it was like to struggle and need a guide. Over the years, I have seen psychotherapy work, both from the client's and counselor's perspective. Thus, in therapy, I will be dedicated to coaching you on your road to wellness. Reach out today.
