My Approach to Helping
My foundation to counseling is a Humanistic or “person-centered” approach. I believe that all humans have an innate wisdom and that it’s my role to help my clients discover their own path. I have great respect for each person’s individual process and employ multiple techniques to facilitate that discovery, including cognitive behavioral therapy and emotionally focused therapy.

I know that it can be a vulnerable process to seek therapy and that finding a therapist that you connect with can be challenging. I offer a free 30 minute (in person or by phone) consultation to help you assess for fit.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It's true, life can be painful and even very unfair. Your relationships might be struggling, your daily demands may seem overwhelming, your work may feel far more stressful than engaging, and you may be down on yourself. You may have any number of emotions including anxiety, anger, guilt, pessimism, boredom, regret, sadness, shame, and loneliness. Therapy can help you cope with difficult emotions and provide you with tools to improve your relationship with yourself and with others. My goal is to help you accept your whole being so that your best self can foster positive relationships and create a life of joy and purpose
