My Approach to Helping
I believe the right “fit” between a client and therapist is one of the most important aspects of successful therapy. I strive to work with clients to co-create a customized therapy approach in order to address the unique needs of each person. I have more than 17 years of experience working in residential, emergency, and outpatient settings. I have also worked in jails and schools. I am committed to helping teens, adults, families, and couples find and use tools that help them achieve their goals and improve their emotional health.
I am passionately committed to helping first responders manage the unique stress they face. I have worked with first responders in various settings since 2001. It is an honor to serve these committed community servants. I am also passionate about my work with teens and their families to manage the difficult changes that teens face in today’s world.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Are you apprehensive about initiating the therapy process? Mental health is part of overall health. An annual physical evaluation is the standard recommendation, but is only part of our overall health management. Even if you are in an emotionally comfortable place, consider scheduling an annual 'check in' for therapy. You can discuss ways to continue your wellness with your therapist. You then have an established connection with a therapist whom you can contact for prompt care if needed during difficult times of transition. It is never too early or too late to start therapy, and no problem is too big or too small. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
