My Approach to Helping
Amidst the chaos and pressure of living in the city, life can get challenging. Whether you are looking to work through existing challenges or feel compelled to move in a new direction, it does not have to be done alone. I am a NYS licensed psychotherapist and a national certified counselor who uses evidence-based practice to address concerns such as: substance use, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, identity issues, LGBTQ+ challenges, and relationship problems.
I completed my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services at NYU. I completed my B.S. in Psychology and Gender and Sexuality Studies at Brooklyn College. I also hold an Advanced Certificate in Integrated Mental HealthAddictions Treatment Training from Columbia Psychiatry, New York State Psychiatric Institute.
My therapy style is supportive, interactive, and empowering. I believe that cultural sensitivity and a positive therapeutic relationship creates opportunity for insight, growth, and change. I will work with you to understand your unique needs and tailor specific clinical interventions for you so that we can make positive strides toward your mental wellness.
