My Approach to Helping
Making the decision to start therapy is a positive one. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, questions, feelings and emotions that can help you make sense of where you are in life and how to get to where you want to go. We all have barriers and challenges that we face. Therapy is a good place to identify them, be heard, and start working on ways to be more satisfied with how you engage in the world. My approach is down to earth, informal, and eclectic. I work in partnership with my clients to find a therapy model that makes sense to them. I strive to help my clients gain insight and clarity that will bring forth changes, and challenges unwanted thoughts and behaviors.
I specialize in thought and mood disorders such as OCD, depression, anxiety, paranoia. I often work with people who are in a life transition, whether that's a new job, relationship, sexuality, a new country/home, etc. I am bilingual and have a background in bicultural issues.
