My Approach to Helping
I am an accepting and caring Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a passion for holding a safe space for children, youth, and adults. I utilize a holistic, person-centered approach to best connect with my clients. I graduated from UCSD with a Bachelors in Psychology and continued my education at SDSU and graduated with a
Masters in Social Work in 2017. I have well-rounded experience in the mental health field from working with Veterans in an inpatient setting all the way to children in a school setting. I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders,
adjustment disorders, and trauma. I have training in cognitive-behavioral therapies, trauma-focused therapies, and play therapy. My true passion is play therapy! I am passionate about helping children and youth reach their highest potential and I focus on family's strengths to empower their growth. I strive to improve communication in the parent-child relationships via family therapy and connection. I am a member of the LGBTQIA community and I strive to provide a safe space for individuals of all sexualities and genders. I am also bilingual in Spanish and English and can provide therapy in both languages. I can't wait to join you in your journey!
