My Approach to Helping
My name is Kim Couch, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I bring 30 years as an educator to the counseling profession. I am passionate about helping people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma find their path.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to. I work with my clients to identify and work on the areas in their life they want to change. I support them through the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Choice Theory, EMDR, and Person Centered Therapy. I want my clients to feel safe and respected as they work through various issues in order to make the changes they feel are needed to meet their goals.
I have pursued a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Wesleyan College, a Master’s in Behavior Disorders from Georgia College and State University, and a Doctorate in Child, Youth and Family Studies from Nova Southeastern University.
I am a strong Christian who cares about her clients and wants to help each one succeed in feeling valued and loved. If I can be of service to you, please reach out and let me know!
