My Approach to Helping
I am a Diploma Candidate at the C. G. Jung Institute-Zürich with a practice in the Baltimore-DC area. A Jungian or depth psychological approach to personal growth, healing, and wholeness listens for the voice of the soul (psyche). Jungian analysis cultivates a relationship or dialogue between the unconscious and the conscious. This therapeutic approach provides new insights into unhealthy patterns and problematic un-owned aspects of the individual. This process promotes a deeper understanding of oneself emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.
I believe that people are searching for meaning and purpose, even in the face of suffering. We want to live authentic lives, lives that strive to integrate all aspects of one's personality (including the parts that we would rather reject or hide behind in shame). I believe that we really want to give our lives to something, someone larger than ourselves.
Sometimes we need help wrestling with these issues. Analysis or therapy is a journey of heart, mind, and soul, that enriches one's relationship to self and others. I see myself as a companion and fellow-explorer along the way.
