My Approach to Helping
Everyone wants to feel like themselves, to love, and to be productive in their work. To these ends I strive to help people identify those things in their past and in the present that keep them from those goals, and to remove patterns of feeling, thinking, and behaving that get in the way of those goals.
I listen and ask questions to develop a good understanding of the people I work with so that I can provide a non-judgmental and therapeutic relationship with them. I work carefully with each person to identify goals, and I develop an individualized treatment plan according to their needs.
In recognition of the fact that everyone is different, I do not adhere to any strict methods of treatment. Rather, I work to find a way to be the right therapist for each individual.
