My Approach to Helping
My collaborative, genuine, and relational approach to therapy is grounded in research-supported methods of psychotherapy. I believe that each individual is unique and brings a personal narrative to our relationship. Therefore, I individualize treatment to the individual client's values, hopes, goals, and preferences for counseling. I am a deeply compassionate mental health provider who recognizes that your trust and privacy are essential to positive and meaningful outcomes in psychotherapy. Further, I believe it is the balance of support and challenge that is likely to lead to self understanding and lasting change. Located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria and accessible by DC public transit, I provide a safe, private space for your personal therapeutic process. It is an honor to be a co-explorer on your journey to deeper personal understanding and meaning making, and I aspire to support you as you move forward in your journey towards greater fulfillment.
