Regardless of age, everyone experiences challenges that make them feel uncomfortable. Sometimes these challenges seem like they are more than we can handle and the discomfort turns into feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, and distress. We find ourselves stuck in old patterns of thoughts and behaviors that are no longer benefiting us. While we can't change difficult situations, we can work together to help you better understand what you are going through. I believe that everything you need is already inside of you. Therefore, we will work together to identify the barriers holding you back and discover your strengths to help you find the relief you are looking for.

My approach to counseling depends on each individual client because I believe that each person has unique needs that cannot be met with a "one size fits all" therapeutic approach. I take the time to get to know you and what will work best for you as an individual. I have worked with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings and have many tools in my toolbox to best meet the needs of each individual I work with.

More Info About My Practice

When individuals are experiencing distressing emotions and situations, it is often difficult for them to find a clear path forward. I provide individuals with the space and freedom to explore what is holding them back or causing them distress. My goal as a therapist is to help you to uncover your own insight and understanding of your concerns and provide you with the tools to help you resolve them.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I provide individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults in many different areas in which they would like to grow.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Taking the first step to reach out to a therapist is a courageous one. In our society, we often receive the message that we need to be strong and independent and not rely on others for help. As a result, those who seek counseling are sometimes viewed as weak. However, I believe the complete opposite as those who are able to admit they need help are often the ones that show true strength. I do not view counseling as a way to "fix you" but instead as extra support to help you recognize your full potential. I believe that being heard and understood is a powerful form of healing. You are the expert on your own life and hold the power to create positive changes.
