My Approach to Helping
I have a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and have been practicing for 10+ years in variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, private practices, clinics, and forensic institutions. I have been providing teletherapy via confidential video sessions since 2014.
I am empathic, empowering, and relatable. I use active listening and an integrative* approach to meet you wherever you may be on your journey, providing support and skills with an easy going nature. I focus on identifying and implementing coping skills and communication skills that will help improve your functioning and strengthen you relationships. I am open-minded and progressive, intent on helping all clients feel comfortable with the therapy process.
*What does "integrative" mean? Integrative means that I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions. It means that, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I will tailor our treatment to your needs.

Journey Psychological Services is inclusive and welcoming to all. Therapy is not always easy to seek out, and finding the right therapist can be a challenge. After all, I'm sure you've been reading through tons of profiles and still feel uncertain where to start! With over a decade of experience working with individuals and couples that are dealing with the many stressors that life brings about, I believe that finding a good therapist shouldn’t be another source of stress. Therapy should be a safe, non-judgmental space for all and I strive to make that a priority in our therapeutic relationship.
I am SOGI (Sexual Orientation Gender Identity) competent and believe that all abilities, religions, sexual orientations, races, and genders should feel comfortable in the therapeutic relationship. I am a strong supporter of human rights, civil rights, equity, and inclusion. I have two rescue pups and support animal rights as well! Reach out today to learn how I can help you.
