My Approach to Helping
Change is not easy; however, often provides meaningful growth opportunities to help you reach your fullest potential. Utilizing a collaborative and strength-based approach to therapy, I am able to provide short-term therapy utilizing a CBT, Exposure Therapy or Solution Focused Therapy approach or longer-term therapy for more complex issues and continued support. I strive to provide a safe, consistent and authentic relationship to provide support, new skills, and guidance through the change process.
I specialize in helping individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief & loss (through death and non-death related losses), adoption, problematic eating, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Combining evidence-based treatments with a creative approach and utilizing my sense of humor, I help adolescents, adults, and families, gain access to their emotions and improve insight into their behaviors to assist in the change process.
I am also trained in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) aka Tapping. EFT is an “evidence-based” mind and body practice for anxiety, depression, phobias, chronic pain, and PTSD.
