My Approach to Helping
Something bad happened to you in the past. You feel like it was your fault or you are a bad person. You don’t want to talk about it. It hurts so much inside. The anxiety is overwhelming and at times you feel depressed. Sometimes it actually feels like you are reliving the experience. At night you have problems sleeping and if you do go to sleep you might have nightmares. It affects everything about your life. You can’t even focus during the day and you feel like you are always on edge. It was so long ago, you thought you were over it, but now maybe not. You don’t want to bring it all back up, but you know you need help.
You imagine getting over the past, and healing from all the pain. You want to feel good again with less anxiety. The memories are still there, but they hurt less and you have real tools that can help you cope with your feelings. Imagine having more time for yourself, doing what makes you happy, and feeling more focused on the positive things in your life.
