My Approach to Helping
How do you want to change your life? What do you want to feel when you wake up in the morning? Therapy is about helping you achieve your goals, in the way that you define them. I'm an affirming therapist that values transparency and collaboration. If you're experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or loss, we'll look at these challenges as they relate to your daily life, personal history and intersecting identities. My priority will be to check in regularly to ensure you're feeling validated and we're on the right track.
In addition to working with adults, have extensive experience working with children and teens in schools. I foster a warm and safe space to help children and adolescents work through transitions, irritability, anxiety, or anger. Therapy is only 45 minutes a week so I work closely with caregivers so solutions can be supported at home and in school.
One of my favorite quotes is "You don't have to be great at the start, but you have to start to be great". There may never be the perfect time to start therapy, but therapy can be the first step to living your best life. Give me a call so we can talk about how you want to be great.
