My Approach to Helping
I believe that hope and change can occur when someone is met where they are with compassion, deep listening and safety. I focus specifically on traumatic grief and loss with an understanding that there is no right or wrong way to feel, no timeline or expectations. My approach to therapy is individualized and draws upon several interventions and theories such as the ATTEND Model, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis intervention. I come from a trauma-informed and strength-based perspective. It is often rooted in the understanding that each person and experience is unique and that they are the expert of their own life.
Center for Hope promises to offer a safe and compassionate space to transform suffering and pain into purpose, meaning and hope. We would be honored and grateful for you to chose us to help you walk beside you and support you in this journey.
"We bereaved are not alone. We belong to the largest company in all the world - the company of those who have known suffering." - Helen Keller
