My Approach to Helping
Keisha Owens received her bachelor's in psychology from Morgan State University and she completed her master's degree in Counseling Psychology at National University. She has over 20 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, Dual Diagnosed Substance Abuse outpatient programs, structured intensive outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric, large nonprofits, and private practice. Keisha has also taught social work and related courses at Brandman University. She has provided clinical and administrative supervision to social work students, interns, and professionals. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals and groups across the life span in the following areas: Depression and Bipolar Disorder, Individuals with Special Needs, Anxiety Disorders, Domestic Violence, Behavioral and Discipline Challenges, Self-Harm Behavior, Anger and Stress Management, Trauma and Abuse, Family and Relationship Issues, ChildrenAdults with Special Needs, Suicide Assessment and Risk Reduction, Chronic Mental Illness, Self-image, and Self-Esteem Issues.
