My Approach to Helping
Hello, You have already taken the first step, welcome! I believe the body is an integral part of the healing process; together, through exploratory co-creation of body awareness, breath, and movement, we can begin to unpack ways to support you to live a more joy-filled life. I specialize in working with children, teens, and all those who consider themselves more sensitive, and sensory-aware beings.
More Info About My Practice
I blend together my knowledge and experience as a Yoga Therapist, Dance-Movement Therapist, and Somatic Psychotherapist, in order to provide the best body-based therapy experience for your healing process. I believe a curious mind, much like a child's, is one of the most beautiful approaches we can take in our everyday lives, and I invite this element of playfulness in all of my sessions.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love about being a psychotherapist, one of the many things, is the honor and privilege I have in building new relationships with individuals who are open to personal growth and increased life satisfaction.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Seeing a therapist, I believe, is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself (or your child); beginning therapy may be one of the most courageous things you could do during your life. The word courage, comes from the Latin word "cor", meaning heart; the word courage originally meant, to tell one's story, or speak one's mind, by sharing one's heart. Going to therapy is a beautiful act that requires a courageous heart; so we both know already, you are full of courage.
