My Approach to Helping
Hi! My name is Katy and I specialize in working with women to promote their highest expression of themselves – because I want to see you living your best life! So often things like stressors, trauma, depression or anxiety can impact our ability to experience life as fully as we would like. My passion is supporting women in bolstering their self-worth, and navigating the complexities of life in a way that brings them more ease.
I have 13 years of experience specialized in mental health, and provide a holistic approach in my work with clients (it’s important to look at the whole picture). I want to help you feel empowered about your life because while we can’t stop all the stressors from happening, we can change the way we respond to them. I also have experience working with Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and more.
I have a strong background in Mindfulness practice and I center much of my work here, as it
provides a foundation of compassionate self-awareness and non-judgment to approach any challenge from. I am also Linehan Board Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and often sprinkle in helpful skills to give you mastery in whatever areas are relevant in your life (Core Mindfulness Skills, Emotion Regulation Skills, Distress Tolerance Skills and Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills). In the end I am client centered and will meet you wherever you are at in your journey to help you feel the most supported.
