My Approach to Helping

Welcome, and congratulations on taking the first steps towards personal growth and transformation--let's take the next part of your journey together! While change and growth are challenging, my goal is to make therapy with you an enjoyable and productive endeavor. As partners, we'll explore the roots of your struggles, patterns and obstacles appearing in multiple relationships and contexts, and identify ways to confront and overcome the issues blocking your growth.
I work particularly well with those struggling with traumaPTSD, Complex-PTSD, Borderline Personality, mood and anxiety disorders, attachment disorders, grief, identity formation, gender and body dysmorphia, love addictionavoidance, challenging family dynamics, and other relationship issues.
My experience in play, expressive arts, and experiential therapies provides adults and adolescents a safe space for greater exploration, expression, and resolution of conflictual feelings and behaviors. I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) to confront traumatic "burdens" and reintroduce integration of parts of self. I also specialize in DBT skills with a special emphasis on mindfulness. My interventions are trauma-informed, client centered, and psychodynamically-oriented.
Please call or email for a consultation; I will address your questions or concerns, and we can see if I feel like a good fit for you. The light at the end is well worth the work: you deserve a satisfying and meaningful life abundant with love and connection!

Groups I Work With

I am truly passionate about the primary populations I work with - Borderline PD and trauma survivors. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and hold unconditional positive regard for these clients. While these populations are at times labeled "difficult," I find joy in assisting those individuals with so much pain find internal resilience, healthy relationships, resolution of trauma, self-compassion and integration. I believe in the necessity of therapeutic love for clients, something I find with ease. I admire every client I've ever seen, for the strength they demonstrate in seeking help and doing the work.
