My Approach to Helping
Meet Katie, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor, a compassionate counselor with a curiosity about the human experience. Katie digs deep to help clients restore self-love, confidence, and a deeper understanding of negative patterns. Change can happen when we embrace faith that things can get better, connection and trust in the healing process, and the courage to hurtle our personal mountains to a place of restoration.
Katie specializes in couples work with the use of Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman methods. Katie is passionate about couples work, empowerment, restoration from abuse, the setting of empowering boundaries, and healing of individuals, families, and couples. Katie enjoys discovering dysfunctional patterns, exploring the meaning of behavior, and returning confidence both individually, as families, and as couples.
Katie is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and works with addiction issues as it relates to difficulty in relationships, as well as mood and coping issues. Trauma therapy is often part of healing with addiction. Katie also works with community partners to help clients have the collaborative support they need through their healing process.
Katie is the owner of The Center for Courageous Living and has a great team of therapists who are compassionate, intelligent, insightful, and strong advocates for their clients.
Katie and the team take pride in humbly serving clients, providing a place of safety and understanding; establishing clinical and mutual goals for healing is the highest priority; we stay with clients through their healing journey and help them with the next steps.
