My Approach to Helping
Are you harder on yourself than you are on other people? You can't be fulfilled in relationships with others when you are beating yourself up inside. The clients I work with in therapy for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and overeating/addictive behaviors are often unkind to themselves, and have a hard time forgiving themselves for past mistakes. I believe that this harsh treatment of self leads to self sabotaging behavior and painful emotional states.
I am passionate about helping people become a friend to themselves. I utilize self-compassion and mindfulness techniques to help individuals gain deep personal insight to reach their goals. When individuals make this shift, something incredible happens. They make profound changes in their lives. I believe that we can work together to make things better for you.

More Info About My Practice
There is a reason that online therapy is becoming increasingly more popular. There are many advantages to doing teletherapy: no battling traffic for a round trip travel to an office, and it is easier to fit into your busy schedule. You are in the comfort of your own home, and you have access to family members that you may want to involve in your treatment.
My clients have report that while they may have been hesitant at first, they are sold on online therapy. Some find that they find it more comfortable to open up about difficult issues online than face to face. It is much easier to fit into their busy work schedules. Empirical research shows online therapy is just as effective as traditional therapy across a wide range of issues and populations.
You do not have to be internet savvy to engage in online therapy. I will guide you through the process!
