Therapy is all about healing. Healing from the past, old wounds, thoughts or feelings that aren't serving you anymore. So often, we have learned various ways of living to get through the days, to cope, but it's surviving and not truly living. For most, facing those things seems scary and that fear keeps them from living the life they want. I see my role as a therapist is to foster a space of safety so healing can occur. Through compassion, honesty, and ultimately connection, I work with my clients to help them move towards their best selves.

More Info About My Practice

I love working with clients with issues that hinder their daily lives: PTSD, chronic pain/illness, mood disorders, codependency, and much more. Because of the weight of the pain that comes with these concerns, I find pride in my role of sitting with my clients and honoring their struggle. I have a specific passion for helping those in the helping profession, no matter the need. It is often those who help others that don't have anywhere to turn when they are in struggle due to their profession. I hope to be that place you can turn.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

We all have a story, including therapists. Going through my own struggles, I've experienced the hard path of healing from it. My work with clients has been impacted because of my own work I've been through. I believe I am more empathic and can sit with my clients in their own pain more and I am grateful for it.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

You are human, you are not weak. We all need help from time to time and that's where therapy comes in. It's helpful for your brain. Your brain is no different from any other body part or organ. If your back hurt and it was interfering with your daily life, you would go to the doctor, right? While I'm not a doctor, I see therapy like going to a doctor just for your brain and emotions. Again. You are not weak. When you walk in the door of my therapy office, it shows so much strength because you are asking for help and breaking the stigma around it.
