My Approach to Helping

I believe that everyone can find joy and fulfillment in their life, no matter what situation you may currently find yourself in. I approach counseling with positivity and an optimistic outlook, grounded in my Christian faith. I specialize in helping couples work through difficulties in their relationships, and emerge healthier and stronger. I also enjoy helping individuals find their internal strength to face the obstacles in their life, to make healthy choices, and to grow in a positive direction.

I have over 15 years of counseling experience, and hold a Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a Bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University. In addition to working with couples, I also work individually with adults on a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, stress, and parenting concerns. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma, and am also licensed to practice in Texas.

More Info About My Practice

I work in a group private practice called Harvest Counseling & Wellness, located in Argyle, Texas, in the northwest part of the DFW metroplex. I combine cutting edge counseling techniques with a solid Biblical principles. Each person who walks in the door is valued for the special, important, and unique person that you are. You will feel warmly welcomed and safe here as you begin your journey to "better." I look forward to walking with you on that journey.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

After all these years of helping people, I still love what I do. When I see people grow and change, I am honored to have been a part of that. When people change in a positive way, it also affects those around them, including their immediate and extended family, their friends, their workplace, and even their community. When I see the smile return to my client's face, and see hope for the future in their eyes, that's what I love about helping people through counseling!
