More Info About My Practice
My office is conveniently located at the Douglas Plaza on Bluemound Road in Elm Grove. It is easily accessible via public transportation and there is a bus line stop on the same street near the building. My office is located in the Applied Therapies and Wellness Center, LLC practice. The Applied Therapies and Wellness Center, LLC is a practice consisting of multiple clinicians who provide psychotherapy services to children and adults. I collaborate with other providers at the location to help provide the best care possible to each person that walks in the door. Given the high number of children seen at the clinic, there is also a separate waiting room specifically for children and it has age-appropriate toys and there is a television with children programming on throughout the day.
I offer morning and evening hours. My earliest appointment is a 9 am and the latest appointment is 7pm. In addition, I offer Saturday appointments from 10am until 4pm -every other Saturday. The frequency of sessions varies depending on the needs of the patient, however, on average I see patients on a weekly basis. If clinically necessary, the frequency of sessions can be adjusted to meeting more for a period of time (e.g. twice per week).
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Choosing the right therapist can be challenging for a variety of reasons. I believe that in order for therapy to be useful, it is extremely important that you feel comfortable and safe to discuss the things that you need to during sessions. This is one of the many reasons why I am sure to prioritize the need for confidentiality in treatment. There is no right or wrong way for you to approach your therapy and I understand that it takes a lot of courage to open up about your personal self to another person. The most important thing that you can do for yourself in treatment is to allow yourself to be you- honestly and authentically. Therapy can only help you heal to the degree that you allow yourself to allow it to. I am very flexible in my approach to therapy and I tailor each intervention specific to the individual needs of the person I am working with. I offer a free 15 -minute phone consultation to discuss your unique needs and concerns, and so I may address any questions that you have. Additionally, I provide this free service because I want to give you the opportunity to determine whether or not you feel like pursuing therapy intake appointment with me feels like a good fit. If you decide to schedule an intake appointment, I do my best to get you an appointment within 10 days of our initial contact. There are no commitments if you choose to seek treatment elsewhere and I am happy to provide you with guidance to help you in your search for a provider.
