How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can help deal with events that are upsetting, stressful and confusing. It can be something that came up recently and unexpectedly or something that happened decades ago. The direction and goals for sessions are developed together with the ultimate outcome for each person to feel and be more emotionally healthy, grounded and confident. One does not have to be in crisis to enter therapy. Psychotherapy can be proactive. A person may feel that, overall, life is going pretty well and may want to explore something that is bothersome but not overwhelming. Additionally, exploring new ideas and upcoming changes can be very helpful in clarifying details, loose ends or addressing feeling blocked or stuck. Therapy can be hard work but a little laughter in a session goes a long way!
