My Approach to Helping
Please understand that you are not alone in feeling scared, overwhelmed, and intimidated. But considering therapy does not mean that there is something wrong with you. Therapy is not for “bad” people or “crazy” people. Therapy is for people who want help sorting through the confusing thoughts and beliefs that they have. If you are afraid of what people think about you, fear that you are unlovable, bad, or are afraid that you might not be good enough, please consider calling me.
Panic, nervousness, fatigue, irritability, fear, sadness, avoidance, isolation, emotional roller coasters, low self esteem and no self worth are completely common in people. Unfortunately, so many are scared to admit their feelings and they end up suffering alone in silence. You can see a therapist who you won’t call you crazy, won’t judge or condemn you, and will treat you with the respect that you deserve (even if you are not sure you do right now). Being able to wake up each morning and go to bed at night without the symptoms and fears that there is something wrong with you is possible. The plan in therapy is to help you have peace and be proud of who you are.
Please do not believe that you are the problem and that you are wrong for seeking a therapist. I want to help you at the pace that works for you. Currently, I offer online therapy; while you may be skeptical (I was too), I have found people prefer this mode after trying only one session. From the comfort of a safe location we can talk, build a rapport, and decide if you are comfortable allowing me to work with you. I often tell my people who work with me, “it’s you and me...we are in this together”.
I am happy to offer you a free phone consultation before the first session to answer any questions you may have.
After booking an appointment, you will receive a link where we can 'see' each other through your device. The sessions will move at your pace and we will discuss the topics that you are comfortable with while staying focused on you reaching your goals.
